Teton Backpacking

Over Labor day Cole and I headed to Teton National Park, near Jackson Hole.
The hike to Death Canyon (where we camped) was beautiful, windy and fun. We hiked up the rocks and through the forest and around the meadows. The Tetons are an amazing place. We got into our campsite, set up the tent and had a 'gourmet' dish of oriozo pasta, salmon and spices. It was delicious. In the backcountry there you have take precaution and store all your smelly stuff in bear boxes or canisters.
It was cold in those mountains so we wore our matching polypropelene's from New Zealand.
This is hiking into our campsite.
Unfortunately, I got sick while we were up there (fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, exhaustion) so we came down a little early. We came back to Logan and ended up hanging out on Labor day with a movie marathon and then cooking a four course gourmet dinner on Monday night. It was a really fun weekend, and the vacation made it seem like summer hadn't ended yet!
